location up to 673, short story novella.

Im not normally into novella's, as I like lengthy novels, but after reading liberating lacey I just had to try this authors other books.

Im so glad I did. This is a story about Drew and Tess. Drew is a navy seal. Tess lives in an area which is rough and he warned her never to leave the windows open at night, when he was away and if she did she would get a spanking.(Its a really rough area, and gangs hang around at night near her house)

Suffice to say, he comes home, Tess's air conditioner is broken and she's so hot she leaves the window open, not even realising Drew has climbed in through the window.

Well, lets just say she gets her spanking!!!!

At £1.32, it was worth reading this short story, now i'm off to read Fighting Fair another of her books.

For a girl with trust issues having a Navy SEAL boyfriend who can't talk about his missions, leaves at the drop of a hat, stays gone for weeks at a time with no contact and steals back into your apartment in a unconventional way under the cover of the night is probably not the best choice when considering potential boyfriend material. Tess Weston finds out the hard way that it can be both terrifying and thrilling when said boyfriend does finally make an appearance. And I really liked Drew's homecoming surprise!

Under His Hand is all about how actions have consequences (good and bad) and that when a SEAL makes a promises - you can count on him to keep it! There's just something so sexy about a big, strong, Alpha SEAL and Drew is no exception...and he's definitely a man of his word...he makes you a promise then you can count on him to follow through.

This book is a short, sexy and sweating hot (I was sweating right along side Drew and Tess - me cuz I was working out and them cuz the AC was busted - but we ALL got in a steamy workout) erotic short story. I read this book at the gym this morning and even stayed on the elliptical until it was done. Any book that can make me WANT to workout longer just so I can finish it gets an enthusiastic two thumbs up. It was 45 minutes well spent.

According to the author this was a "Fun" little story she wanted to write. Well, it is fun, plus so much more. Drew, the hero had such heart. I can't remember loving a hero as much as I liked him in a long time. The connection between Drew and Tess turns well-written love scenes into smoking-hot, emotionally charged ones. This is on my TBR-again pile.

In this brief but seriously seductive story between a Navy SEAL and his sweet girlfriend, Anne Calhoun reminds readers of just how must trust and love is needed in a relationship. Calhoun takes it one step further and shows how that trust extends to the bedroom...

Drew Norwood returns home after an extended stay on a mission. He finds his girlfriend, Tessa in their home where she has left the windows open. Normally, this wouldn't be a cause for concern, but in a rough neighbourhood, Drew is terrified for her safety. He grows angry because Tessa intentionally disobeyed his instructions to keep the windows closed. Tessa disrespected him and ignored his wishes. Now, Drew must remind Tessa that he loves her and that he is only looking out for her.

Tessa knows that she will be punished for this, but the promise of an erotic spanking sends tingles through her. Her fear arouses her and soon, Tessa finds herself trusting Drew with her body...and her heart.

I wished this book were longer because I found that I really liked Drew and Tessa together. Calhoun does a fantastic job of building anticipation and writing heroines who are new to BDSM in general. She simply excels in straddling the line between fear and arousal and I think that's very much evident in this book! I can't wait to read more for Calhoun's work!
