TWO WORDS (THIS ROCKS), 21 Jun 2005
Everyone should have this album, The extra 4 tracks show Avril at her best Raw Live Music, not tweaked about studio stuff such as what others churn out. It is a shame that this album seems to not have had any publicity. So this is just to say buy it while you can. Personally I Rate her right up with The Boss and Pat Benatar. The DVD extra is quite cool, you get to see Avril shopping in a road side supermarket in Ireland and sightseeing in London. (excellent value for Money especially from Amazon)

rock music as good as it gets, 13 April 2007
I haven't listened to this kind of electric guitar dominated rock/pop music for 15 years or more and I've got to say that Avril Lavigne is as good as anything I've heard in the past.Good lyrics, rythms, aggressive but subtle and, even beautiful singing, with the requisite attitude from hell all make Under My Skin something worth listening to again and again.
This is a cd that made me actually want to go and see a live performance.
Great stuff!

Quality Album For All!, 9 April 2007
I bought this album quite recently and after listening to it a few times, the songs really grew on me.
I'd obviously herd a few of avril's songs prior to buying the albums (mainly all the ones that had been released, the favourites), and had found them quite catchy and thought I might as well buy the album and see what it is like. I felt quite ashamed buying it actually, I think the stereotypical view of this is that it is aimed at teenage girls; I can't enlighten anyone on if it is or not, other than to say that I am extremely surprised at how catchy the songs are. Although I have herd a few songs from her "Let Go" album, i understand that she has been mildly criticised for her quite "basic" lyrics and I can say, in my opinion, she has evolved from that. Fair enough, there not lyrics that make you think and go wow, but they are defiantly an improvement.
I also the selection of songs was excellent, and all fitted well together making it a great all round album. I myself am a big fan of pop punk and i am not quite sure what genre this comes under.... (Pop, Pop Punk, Pop Rock?) but I will say, what ever genre you like, I think you will find this album good.
If you want a taste of this album, I would highly recommend...
Take Me Away
Don't Tell
Nobodies Home
Who Knows
Freak Out*****
If you enjoy one of these songs i would recommend getting it, you shouldn't be disappointed!
