5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely fantastic 30 Mar. 2015
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This series has totally blown me away, I loved every single minute of reading it, I was drawn in from Day 1 and it has been one hell of a journey, always wanting to keep turning pages to see what happens next. It provoked so many different emotions, fear, pride, humour, love, shock, tears, honestly all that and more. The development of each character is stunning, I feel like they all actually genuinely exist and I cannot imagine my life without the team in it now.....the author has us humans utterly pegged, especially about how different people would react under such circumstances....a rare talent I feel that few could portray so unnervingly accurately. I've flown straight into Day 15, needing to follow the team and eagerly anticipating their next challenges. I cannot recommend this highly enough....zombies aren't even really my thing but I thought I'd give it a go, and I am so glad I did.... but this is about so much much more.....the team and each character are these books.... Long may it continue.....I'm completely hooked!!! Get reading it, you don't know what you're missing :)

5.0 out of 5 stars what a cracking read 5 May 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I've read lots of Zombie books, these are by far the best. You get drawn I to the story. You believe in Howie, Dave and the rest of the team, you are routing for them.

I won't do a rundown of the story because I probably wouldn't do it justice. Suffice to say the Zombies attempt to take over and a small team fight back. Sounds so simple said like that but it's much much more. Each day is a book and they keep getting better and better.

Reminds me of the Zombie version of tv series 24 except we've got Mr Howie instead of Jack Bauer. They don't just defend themselves against the Zombies they set out to destroy them while saving as many people as they can.
Obviously they are all really great people so you are drawn in to like and believe in them but what's wrong with that. Most disaster books like to exploit the bad in people, show how selfish, twisted and animalistic we can become when put under extreme pressure. This book tells us there are good people out there, people who would care and help one another, I like reading it from that point of view for a change. Of course it's not all plain sailing and happy days, be prepared for lots of bad with the good. It's high octane all the way through.

But I bet you won't be able to put it down and will be racing to get to the next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Words cannot describe how much I love this! 9 April 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
And how much I wish it was real! Massive zombie fan and this popped up as a recommendation after I purched the third walking dead book.. First of all this dude Howie is your average joe.. Then throughout the series he becomes so much more! Supermarket manager to hell for leather zombie killer! Then there is Dave and you've just got to love Dave! Not going to spoil it too much but the characters end up on an island (I live here) so it's wonderful geographically to read and then walk the same streets and imagine the carnage the characters could be running right past me! Thanks so much to the author.. My life feels complete after reading! Always wanted to find out what would happen if zombies hit the island! Your my hero RR Haywood

5.0 out of 5 stars BARGAIN! 4 April 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have all of The Undead books strewn throughout my Kindle, now I can keep them all nice and tidy. I'm a stickler for organisation and this will make it so much easier to read the complete series-and believe me, it will be the BEST £1.29 you ever spend. Unless you can buy a puppy for the same price, in which case, buy the puppy. Sorry Mr Haywood but puppies are cuuuuuuuute :P

4.0 out of 5 stars Well worth a try 12 Mar. 2015
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Read a few of this type of book, some poor, some not to bad.
This series was actually pretty good, really enjoyed, did not want to finish
Good characters, if a little strange, overall, well written, easily believable plot, although is stretched a bit sometimes
Very little in the way of writing glitches,, although an odd typo really is no big deal , they crop up from the best publishing houses
My only niggle was the series can get a bit jingoistic , stiff upper lip at times , maybe a little "we are good, so we will win"
That may just be my impression, and does not really detract from the story
If you like these types of books , and I do ,have bought a few over the years , give this a try, better than the usual
I did not bother with buying the one book at a time, I took a chance and bought the 14 day compilation, glad I did
