DVD Description
Elmer Winslow is a soldier on the run from the Union Army and Luke Budd is a cowboy with a broken heart. The two misfits are on the run after robbing the corrupt Sheriff Claypool when they cross paths with Sue, an Apache warrior who is out to wreak vengeance on the U.S. Army an Apache warrior who is out to wreak vengeance on the U.S. Armyfor decimating her people. Her plan: to attack a nearby Army outpost. Deciding that assisting her is better than facing the law, they agree to show her the way. However, jail becomes the least of their worries when they discover that a plague of zombies is sweeping the country, and that Sue may be their only hope of survival.

Format:DVD
After an umpromising start that put me in mind of Uwe Boll's flaccid approach to "jokey" horror (maybe the presence of Boll regular Chris Coppola had me on my guard) this one settles down into something wonky, vaguely coherent but surprisingly likeable that displays considerable charm along the way to its "twist" conclusion. The movie likes its characters and passes the time amiably enough, but has no real idea what it wants to do with what must have been an interesting three word pitch to potential producers: Zombie Western Comedy. The plot wanders around a bit and is the least interesting aspect of things. Some of the comedy works and some of it doesn't. The zombie stuff is average-to-good and the CGI is terrible. The western town set seems to be the one built for Terence Hill's "Lucky Luke" TV series in the nineties (hello, trivia fans).

This is not a bad film - the plot is original - the sets, well, Western (!) - overall, it's better than average & quite entertaining.
There are plenty of laughs, plenty of zombies & some great action. It is not a blockbuster & was never made to be one. Budgets look like they were tight but they seem to have made up for that with some good casting & a funny script.
This is a tru zombie-comedy so if you liked Shaun of the Dead, whilst this is no match & no great event cinema - it's entertaining & keeps you watching.
My honest advice is try to catch it on the ZoneHorror channel rather than buying it unless you get a very good price. On the other hand, if you have the cash - it's good to support the zombie b-movies we all know & love.

This film won't change your life, but if you're looking for something to watch with friends while eating fiery homemade chilli and drinking far too much beer, then you've found it. Well-paced and likeable, it's a good deal better than most of the low-budget zombie fodder out there, and the Western setting works well. At the price, it's difficult to go wrong.

Really funny in parts but i do like how they make certain zombies films like these and make you jump or laugh at parts.
