Product Description

Betsy Taylor, Vampire Queen, already has plenty on her plate. For one thing, next week is her birthday-the big 3-1 in human years, and one in undead years. (Yes, she bit the dust on her birthday last year.) On top of that, she still has wedding plans to finalize-and it's not helping that the prospective groom is avoiding anything to do with it. And then there's her decision to stop drinking blood-something she has yet to share with Eric Sinclair, her fianc-who also happens to be the vampire king...

So the last thing she wants to deal with is uninvited guests, even if they happen to be the powerful European vampires who have finally come to pay their respects the week before her birthday. Some of them don't want Betsy as their Queen, and will do anything to get rid of her. As if turning thirty last year (not to mention dying) hadn't been traumatic enough. And trying to give up blood is making her really cranky...

The first thing I thought when I started reading this book was that I had missed one of the series. There were new characters (George the fiend has a werewolf girlfriend) and it appears that there has been a short story in between this and the last book. Very annoying as I don't read the short stories!!

This book is funny (there is a hilarious scene involving a zombie), but the overall story does not move on much. The European vampire threat does not feel like much of a threat and only one character has a change in their life.

Overall this is worth reading but I would like longer stories where the plot for the series is moved on a little more.

Betsy does it again 26 Nov 2006
Format:Paperback
Once more Betsy Taylor Queen of the undead graces us with her presence. And once again this is easy on the brain, funny, annoying and addictive. As usual sinclair is skulking around and now Betsy has even more issues. I know these books are a little bit predictable but to me that is part of their charm. Having read Franz Kafka and Josepf Conrad, this is pure pleasure. Ideal for the 16 to 40 something's Christmas stocking

I have read reviews that this book is very disappointing.....i wouldn't say that, i found it weird how it ended as I think it could have ended with more story to it.
I love all the Undead series, I couldn't put the books down and as soon as it had finished one book I would have to buy the others books as soon as.
I also liked the bits how Besty would talk to anyone how she wanted to, and how everyone would bow down to her. Now I don't know what everyone else is like but I would love this to happen to me, so reading these books really gets me into it and enjoy the book.

Hope there are more books to come like this :)
