While the author of this ground breaking work is not a therapist, she has a great deal to teach the mental health community. This is a self-help book that works. I tried a slew of Gibson's "clutter busters," and I actually found they helped me function better and feel better fast. I can see clearly now.

This book will get you off the couch... 26 Jan 2005
By Reinekke - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Gibson has written an inspiring book on cleaning your clutter and creating more space and time for the life you want. I loved her book and I believe it will motivate most people to get off the couch, get rid of all those things they don't need, and clear some toxic relationships in the meantime. This is the best anti-clutter book I've read in a while (and I am always looking for more of them!)

"I can see clearly now" 11 July 2004
By Mark Sichel - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
While the author is not a therapist, she has much to teach the mental health community in this ground breaking work.
It's been all too easy to clutter my life with possessions, projects, papers, and people. Until I read Unclutter Your Life, I felt overwhelmed by the amount of space ...physically and emotionally...that I was "renting" to things that I don't need in my life. What's really amazed me is that I've put many of Gibson's "clutter buster" suggestions to the test, and they work! I can see clearly now.

A more conceptual look at uncluttering 28 May 2007
By GreenEggs-N-Ham - Published on Amazon.com

Not to be a grinch, but I would like to underline that this is a book of ESSAYS and rather simple advice often found in organizing articles and books. The essays are gently humorous or insightful, as you will see from glancing around in the book (function above), and the writing is nice enough. But answers to real quandaries are best found in other books, for example the surprisingly good "Conquering Chronic Disorganization" by Judith Kolberg.
