If you like earlier albums by Blockhead then this will certainly NOT let you down. Filled with big beats and amazingly strange but well worked samples, similar to Music By Cavelight.

Uncle Tony's Coloring book, although has the Blockhead similaraties from the other two albums does have it own sound!

I don't think your be let down

Blockhead aka Uncle Tony does it again 27 Aug 2007

Deffinitly one the best of 2007 a year not filled with that many great releases. This is one of the few exceptions. I dare you not to smile and want to get up and dance when hearing "Uncle Tony's Coloring Book". It's fast beats and happy sound are some of the best sounds I've heard all year. As great as blockheads first two albums were this is right up there. Not as good as "Music by Cavelight" but what could match one of my 3 to 5 favorite albums of this decade. I would say this is a CD for anybody in a funk. It will get you right out and put a big smile on your face but I've said that before. also look out for "None Shall Pass" by Aesop Rock on which Blockhead produced 7 tracks from what I've heard it should be just as good. All in all a killer CD from one of the best producers/beat makers out there. way to go Blockhead.None Shall Pass

Typical chill Blockhead! 7 Sep 2007
By The Banzabar Test - Published on Amazon.com

Blockhead is extremely consistant when it comes to beat making and musical composition. His music creates that environment where you can just sit back and groove to the sounds or get up and bounce to em. I would like to give this 5 stars, and its really more like 4 1/2 but Music by Cavelight is a strong 5 and it's not quite as good. There seem to be a tad more vocal samples than i would like but the strong use of the brass and his guitar licks makes it so very Blockhead-y. I Definitely recommend to all Blockhead fans (you won't be disappointed), but if you are new i would recommend listening to Music by Cavelight first.

Yet another amazing album of post modern hip-hop with an abstract sensibility. Blockhead is truly a master. FYI the CD release for this was very limited so I recommend picking one up if you are able to....

This is a cool disc, and has by far the best set of tracks of any of Blockhead's work. I got turned on to him from listening to Aesop Rock's early stuff and loving the beats almost more than the rhymes. I picked up 4 blockhead albums right away.. listened to all of them.. and this is by far the best. This one has some funky tracks that will stick with you.
