Format:Audio CD
Un Jour Parfait is a must for all Stranglers fans. Very different from Euroman Cometh but full of desolate tracks and then sudden joy. A listening pleasure, especially on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

I used to have this on tape years ago and I remembered that a few tracks were pretty good so I just recently ordered this CD. It's not been out of player since. It has a very european sound, obviously reminiscent of The Stranglers softer moments ala Feline (Dave Greenfield also features).
Most of the tracks are great and there are extra tracks and mixes. Highlights include 'Le Whisky', 'Weekend', 'Tristeville Ca Soir' and the title track plus a couple of others... Burnel also does a fine job on the vocals. There are no bass heroics here but if you like JJ's french Strangler-ish sound this is the one to get. Overall much better than what I remembered.

As a follower of JJ and The Stranglers,I listened to the cd with great interest. Different from Euroman Cometh as JJ has improved in himself as a soloist and as a Strangler the music is very different(as were all the other LPs/CDs) and its good to hear music that is different rather than all the same tunes that sound very similar to the next track but with different lyrics.Long may JJ continue.
