That is the second book about health that is so good. The first one that I came across was "Can We Live 150" by M. Tombak. What I like in both books is the comprehensive approach to health and well being. The authors of both books do not treat any part of the body separate from the other parts. It is all interrelated. The authors do not talk about treating symptoms of an illness; they talk about finding out and eliminating the cause of the problem. Look at the shelves of our pharmacies today - most of the products there are devoted to eliminating, or masking the symptoms... (!). At the same time the authors of both books emphasize proper nutrition, detoxification, stress management, sleep restoration, and so on... I do not want to rewrite any of these books here, so just check it out yourself. In fact I strongly recommend getting both of them

Great book that makes lots of sense. Well written and easy to read, I learned a lot from this common sense approach to health, wellness and weight loss. Anyone struggling with weight loss and a slow metabolism should read this.

But, it's a hard read. Have implemented some small changes to our diets and both feel the benefits. When I've finished the book, I will weigh up the options and may change completely ... .... but the small changes effected to date are working well.

This is a very informative and fascinating book. Very thought provoking about how traditional medical care is given. I bought it primarily because I can see how my elderly mother is declining, and being prescribed more and more medication, exactly as described in this book.

And also for my own health, as I currently am in excellent shape... but want to stay that way!

It certainly makes a lot of sense and I would highly recommend it.

Love this book, I have learnt so much about health and medicine and the harsh reality of what your doctors don't tell you or even know about themselves. Dr Mark Hyman is a genius, he is a physician and cares about people's health,he also recommends prevention is the key, getting yourself checked regularly. However when someone is already unwell there are still very simple solutions without having to go down the long route taking lots of medicine and even ending up having surgery for something you never needed in the first place! but this is the medical industry for you, its all for profit. People need to wake up, do their own research read this book and you are good to go! highly recommended. I'm glad I'm starting to keep myself informed from a young age as I can start preventing diseases from now and I feel quite healthy.

There are so many diy health books around but here's one well-worth looking into. Written by two doctors and full of positive suggestions as well as convincing case histories ... Worth anyone's pennies!
