Product Description

Product Description

Ultralieve is a high quality easy to use therapeutic ultrasound device using the same technology as used by physiotherapy professionals for over 60 years.
Ultralieve is designed to aid the repair of sprains and strains, and relieve pain. Ultralieve uses pulsed Ultrasound, which is a non-thermal ultrasound, making it both safe and effective.
Ultralieve is a registered class 2 Medical device, using therapy technology respected by medical professionals. With Ultralieve the treatment can be tailored to the injury type and location by offering 3 different intensity settings. Ultralieve offers an effective drug-free solution with the dual benefit of pain relief and the speeding up of the bodies natural healing process.
Ultralieve is a 1 Megahertz (MHz), pulsed therapeutic ultrasound device. Using a very high frequency vibration, Ultralieve penetrates deep below the surface of the skin (up to 5cm) to support healing and relieve pain. The vibration energy, which is too high to be felt, stimulates the body's natural healing process to help you get back to your best.
Ultrasound significantly reduces pain of passive and active motion, increasing range of motion of the knee for patients suffering from symptoms of osteoarthritis of the knee. In patients with newly-diagnosed osteoarthritis of the knee, pain was reduced following intervention with ultrasound.
Ultrasound was shown to be effective in resolving calcium deposits
Treatment of patients with carpal tunnel syndrome with ultrasound significantly improved finger pinch and hand grip strength, reduced pain, and improved nerve conduction
Ultrasound significantly reduced the short-term pain pressure sensitivity of myofascial trigger points

From the Manufacturer

For aches and pains*

With today's busy lives, we all pick up our fair share of aches and pains. Whether it’s gardening, cycling, going for a long walk or a physically demanding job, the ability to move with freedom is vital to your everyday life. Ultralieve supports your body’s natural healing process so you can get on with your day.

What is Ultralieve?

Ultralieve uses therapeutic ultrasound to help repair soft tissue, and supports the natural healing process of the body. Ultralieve uses the same technology commonly used by physiotherapists and has been adapted for home use.

How does Ultralieve work?

Ultralieve generates high frequency sound vibrations which stimulates the skin’s tissue cells. Stimulating the cells can cause the cell walls to become more permeable, allowing the movement of proteins from the blood into the cell. Proteins are the essential building blocks to help tissue cells repair themselves. In the example of a ligament tear, the application of ultrasound can help speed up production of collagen, a protein found in soft tissue.

Ultimately, Ultralieve helps speed up the healing process by aiding in the transport of essential ions and nutrients to the cell in order to repair the body and relieve pain at the source.

*Ultralieve may help to temporarily relieve mild to moderate soft tissue pain.

Deep tissue relief

Ultralieve emits sound waves which penetrate on average up to 4 cm below the surface of the skin. You can set the intensity of your Ultralieve treatment to suit the depth and size of your injury / area of pain.

4 Steps To Ultrasound Therapy

1 - Apply the conductive ultrasound gel provided to the treatment area

2 - Select the time and intensity according to the therapy application table included.

3 - Move the Ultralieve in a circular motion over the skin's surface.

4 - Use as directed until symptoms are relieved.

Always read the label, use only as directed. If symptoms persist, contact your healthcare professional.

Tailored treatment for you

Ultralieve has 3 intensity levels so that you can tailor the treatment to your needs. The correct intensity level is determined by the depth of your injury and how long you’ve been experiencing pain. A therapy application table is provided to show exactly the time and intensity level you should use with Ultralieve.

Ultralieve has been designed using the same ultrasound technology used by Physiotherapists. It is light weight and easy to use at home.

Ultralieve Conductive Gel

Conductive gel for use with Ultralieve. Specially formulated to conduct Ultralieve’s ultrasound energy waves deep into tissue to accelerate healing, relieve pain & reduce inflammation.

An 85ml gel is included in your Ultralieve pack. A 250ml gel can be purchased separately.

Drug Free, Medical Device

Ultralieve is a registered class IIa medical device. Drug-free, Ultralieve doesn’t mask pain like painkillers, it supports the body’s natural healing process. The device comes with a 2 year warranty for peace of mind.

What is in the Ultralieve box?

My wife, despite her short age (she is only 34) suffers from joints pain. The pain comes and goes depending on how much she exercises.

One of her knees gets locked and it becomes very painful. This is when this little gadget comes in. She has had physiotherapy using ultrasound waves before, which is why this is perfect for her. She uses this every time that her knee is sore and swollen and after just a few days of treatment it feels so much better.

However, it is pretty much useless for her tendonitis in her wrist, which is due to a repetitive strain injury. She has tried using it on a regular basis but it just doesn't improve. Maybe this therapy is more useful for larger muscles or joints but it just didn't help.

It is ergonomically designed and very comfortable to use, even when using the injured wrist. An improvement would be for the handle to be rechargeable rather than have to depend on being near a socket. Saying that, the cable is long enough to sit comfortably on the sofa whilst using it.

Overall, a good investment if you can't be bothered to wait for 3 to 6 months to be referred to your local hospital for physio.

The Ultralieve has been invaluable for me, as my joints have begun to get a little less flexible than they once were – and as my chiropractor recommended it I have no qualms using it.

It is a high quality item, light, well designed and very easy to use on my self which is important to me – and you can really have an impact on awkward to get to areas like my knee which is where I often need to use it – particularly after exercise.

It is actually used by medical professionals, such as physiotherapists so I had no hesitation using it – and it has made my life so much more comfortable that I would strongly recommend

I have to admit that I was a little bit sceptical prior to using this Ultralieve Ultrasound Therapy product as I have had problems with both of my shoulders for some time now and was starting to accept that I would just have to live with the uncomfortable pain. This is very straightforward and simple to use and at first I thought it wasn't actually doing anything but after a few short treatment sessions I definitely noticed the difference. It's probably too early to say if this will prove to be a long term solution to my shoulder problems but it is definitely a lot cheaper and a lot less hassle than going to my doctor or a physiotherapist.

This actual device is used by our son's chiropractor so I can confirm that it is used by health professionals. It is possible to use it on yourself but awkward to reach areas are better treated by a helper. The 20 page instruction manual is well written (English only). An 85 ml tube of treatment gel is included in the box.I have used this on a long standing wrist injury following the recommended settings and although the injury can still be felt I believe that I have experienced some lessening of the pain and a subsequent reduction in the use of painkillers.

My partner and I both suffer from occasional chronic pain – me in my lower back and her in her hand/wrist. While I haven’t tried anything like this before, I thought there wasn’t much to lose from giving it a try.

To be honest, we haven’t really managed to integrate it into our regular schedule, so it only gets occasional use (normally when the pain is bad). I think this is largely because it’s a bit of a faff: you have to be prepared to sit around for at least 10-15 minutes rubbing the head over the affected area (or, if you can’t reach easily, it takes two of you). The power cord could do with being a bit longer, to make it easier to find a suitable position, and the need to use gel (and clean the head afterwards), all makes it too much trouble for regular use (in our experience).

Given this, I can’t really comment on the benefits of regular, sustained use but, based on my somewhat sporadic trials over 6 months or so, it’s by no means a miracle cure but I have sometimes felt better after using it. Of course, this is no scientific test – maybe the affect is largely psychological (making the whole thing effectively a placebo), or maybe it’s just more likely that after any given ‘bad day’ I’d feel somewhat better the next day anyway – but it’s enough that I’m still inclined to give myself a little treatment session from time to time, when my back is sore.

I got this with the intention of using it on my daughter, she is a dedicated highland dancer and swimmer and has occasionally suffered from ankle trouble. We aren't at the stage of needing physio but ankle injuries can ruining a highland dancers career so anything that could help would be most welcome.

After a few sessions she reports her ankle is fine, I cannot say whether it would have recovered without this but it seems to have gotten better quickly and for that I am grateful.

A well put together product, there is loads of gel included and a decent carry bag. I haven't tried this myself yet but it will be used before long as I jog a few times per week and there is always aches and pains associated with this.

Recommended.

*****UPDATE*******

So, I have had this for a few months and, as predicted, I have been using this to help out with aches and pains from jogging (which I am becoming addicted to). I have used it for my knees several times and, I hate to admit this, it seems to make a difference with recovery times.

But, I used this the other day on the joint of my big toe as I have developed a bunion. Bloody hell, it felt like having red hot needles shoved into the joint, I endured five minutes of mind bending pain of the like which I have never experienced before.

So, top tip, do not use this for bunions or you will pay the price.

Intense!
