How does a home ovulation test work?
When a woman is about to ovulate, her body releases a large amount of a hormone called L.H. (Luteinising Hormone). L.H. is always present in your urine but the levels increase (surge) in the middle of your cycle, causing you to release an egg from the ovary, this process is called ovulation. If the L.H. surge is present, ovulation is likely to occur in the next 24 to 48 hours.
These ovulation tests detect the L.H. surge by measuring the amount of L.H. in urine.

I have been using them for 3 months and only had 1 strong positive result in 3 months, i have had some faint seconds lines but the package says a faint positive is negative so not sure if they really work as i had a faint positive on day 13, 16, and 17 in the same month! i will be buying some of the more expensive ones for next month!

I used these sticks in tandem with the Clearblue Monitor and its pee sticks (much more expensive at about £1/stick) and they were BANG ON. I was getting fed up of paying higher and higher prices for the CB sticks and decided to try an experiment with cheap sticks instead.
My test lasted 3 cycles and in each cycle a "positive" indicator was seen exactly when the CB monitor said I was ovulating as well. Now on my fourth cycle, I have not even bothered to buy the CB sticks and am just using these. Save your money!!!!

Product arrived quickly.
I followed the instructions as per leaflet. I actually tested every day of my cycle to try and find out when i ovulate. I had a faint second line every day i tested. The results did not differ. A faint second line is classed as a negative result. Im sure i dont ovulate every day? Im not on any drugs to help concieve.
Im now 7 weeks pregnant but these tests didnt help it happen. My advice is dont waste your money and have loads of sex!
