5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous value with some real gems 1 Dec 2012
By I Am Tyler Durden VINE™ VOICE
Format:DVD
As of writing there is only 1 other review from some idiot who cannot play Region 2 disks and gives it 1 star. NO WAY! Getting over 5 hours of short to medium zombie movies for this price and finding 5 of which are superb, only 2 that are bad and the rest pretty good makes this a must have for any true zombie fan. Even the 2 bad ones are kind of OK, those being the Canadian "KIDZ" which is a bit too amateurish and the Indian "Savages" which is slow and boring and has some of the worst dubbing I've ever heard (people dubbing their own voices in an Indian language but with what sounds like a Ł1 microphone) but even so has a so-bad-it's-good vibe. The bulk of the rest are competently made and fill the running time with a few oddities such as the Danish puppet comedy western "It Came From The West". Most of them could easily be accepted as individual stories from around the world, all part of the same zombie outbreak since they all follow the same correct zombie format. But then there's the gems: "Bitten" only 6 minutes but a harrowing portrait of 1 woman going through "The Turn". "Paris By Night Of The Living Dead", an all out shoot 'em up and zombie chopping action fest where our heroes also destroy many Paris landmarks in the process. "Zomblies" a serious toned UK effort with plenty of action and exploding heads (this is nearly 50 mins). "The Book Of Zombie" (1 hour) where an American town is overrun by Zombie Mormons, a really funny low budget splatter fest with great (mostly practical) effects and an audacious twist ending. "Dead Hungry", only 10 minutes but sublime; A sweet and hilarious story of one Zombie's search for brains and companionship. It has some great effects and wins by telling its story from the zombie's point of view as he stumbles through various typical zombie genre scenarios populated by screaming teens in the background midway through their own movies. Overall a rare treat, like going to an indie festival in your own home allowing you to see films you otherwise would not see outside the festival circuit.

2.0 out of 5 stars Average // Only for the hard core fans 4 Dec 2012
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
I was not thrilled with this effort. these are low budget shorts (only 2-3 of them are above 30 minutes each) which are well done but nothing special.
I enjoyed "paris by the living dead" which had great gore scenes and zombeer with a few others but generally i was bored.
If u are a hard core fan check this out but don't expect much.
