Since then, some of my friends have seen it sitting on my shelf and pulled it down. Even my friends who know nothing about sailing and thought it was an "old man's sport" were surprised by what they saw. The pictures in the book almost come alive before your eyes. They're snapshots taken in the face of the action sailing has to offer on good windy days. And for my female friends, the book is almost like a 170 page "fireman callendar" (if you know what I mean)--sailors aren't exactly ghost-colored toothpicks.
Its a great book that belongs beside another great book called Sailing Thoroughbreads.
