This is a very heavy duty stand, so perfect for taking some abuse while you play.
It's height at it's lowest is good for playing while you are sitting down, and will extend to eye height while standing even if you are very tall.
It's heavy, but that helps it stay upright even if it gets knocked quite hard, and the stand is deep enough to take several music books or a folder without issue, or 3 sheets of music side by side (4 at a push).
I highly recommend this one!

I cannot play a musical instrument but have been looking for a book holder to support large hard backs. I found the perfect thing but it costs over £230 and so I took the risk that this music stand might be a decent compromise. I'm pleased to report that it is suitable for purpose and it would be of use as an easel. I wouldn't trust my Mac i Book on it but it will be of great use.

I ordered this and it was delivered in very simple packaging and the main stand was bent. We got a replacement and that was bent as well.
Go to a shop and get one that you know is good, we even got one with its own carry bag for a similar price.
