Tristan Taormino has an intelligent, almost scientific style of writing that is informative, encouraging and at times hot! She splits her book down in to three distinct parts, firstly Plain Type, her facts as she sees it. Then italics, opinions from those she has surveyed. Finally, shaded boxes full of literary quotes. Unlike, 'A Hand in the Bush' it does not come across as a lesbian book, it is only after that I read that Tristen is female and gay, but it can be ready easily by both men and women. The language used is open and not out to shock; it is a very well written book. The guidance given is helpful but not pushy and has aided our sex lives.
