I picked some of these up because of the price reduction, and i'm glad i did because they're fabulous. Im struggling with some of the reviews on here, a couple of points:

    (1) Mine arent flimsy, they're extremely well made, the cable is probably the best ive seen on sub £100 earphones and the whole package is top notch

    (2) sound quality is actually really good, but it depends entirely on the fit in your ears, they need a really good seal to produce decent bass (all in-ear phones are the same) and for me it involved fitting the largest ear buds. The foam comply buds didnt work for me at all.

So with the biggest buds on the sound i'm getting is brilliant; vibrant, dynamic, good bass, great mid and exciting high tones. Ive come from Cx300s and the Superfi's are miles better.

I did quite a bit of research before buying these, and in truth bought the wrong ones. I had meant to get the iPhone compatible ones, which in fairness were a breeze exchanging from the supplier (not Amazon) once I'd realised.
The headphones are very good quality, but really only work well with a tight fitting ear bud, so you have to get the size of bud just right. Then push it into your ear quite far to get the required fit such that you can get the depth and quality of the sound. If you don't do this, the quality is pretty awful and tinny, and I was on the verge of sending them back until I realised this.
The chord does 'scrape' on clothing when you're walking around, which is mildly distracting.
On the positives, the quality is excellent (although as I said there is not much base, so don't buy if you're a Ministry of Sound fan), and it really does allow you to set your volume much lower if you listen to a lot of music on the go. Better for professionals and if you listen to music in quieter places, but not for me who listens on buses and need a better base.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I normally use lightweight external Sennheiser headphones but thought I would try again with the ear bud type of earphones. As these were certainly not cheap I thought that all the problems I had encountered before with internal earphones would be resolved.
It comes with a selection of two different types of buds in various sizes and although I spent a lot of time getting the best fit they still seem to suffer from both feeling an incredibly tight fit and yet still managing to fall out without any movement of the head. Looping the cord over the ear as suggested made no difference. The enclosed instructions are printed in the smallest font size possible needing a magnifying glass to read. Why do manufacturers do this ?
The sound quality does seem as good as my Sennheiser Headphones but any cable movement can be heard as a rustling sound.
A positve feature is that the gold plated 3.5mm connection gives a good connection at all times on my Zen Creative MP3 player.

    Update.
The wiring into the earphones became more and more brittle with use and eventually the exposed wire was visible before finally breaking off.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
To start on a positive note, the sound quality of these headphones is incredible! The sound is really clear and beautiful.

However, the problem with them is that they don't survive day-to-day use more than a few weeks.

Most of us, when we are done listening to our music, roll up our headphones and then pop them in our bag or pocket. These headphones fall apart far too easily. The wires come away from the jack and the cover comes away from the wire. As soon as this happens, you cannot use the headphones as the wires break.

It's a real shame because I was really impressed with them initially.

I am some what confused with some of the review for these cans. For myself the build quality is fine and the sound is a great improvement over the Sony cans i was using. I have also have no problems with them falling out. Regarding the Sennheiser CX300, my daugher and have got though 2 pairs each as the leads failed in under a a year of use.

So - buy these you should not be dissapointed

I absolutely LOVED the crystal clear clarity and the sound of these headphones; I also found the fit very comfortable. So why the one-star review? Because the jack lead broke after just 34 days of ordinary use. It's so sad that such excellent headphones are made with apparant minimum durability. I don't believe I 'abused' these earphones; I didn't use them at the gym, just for walking around/travel. But something in the lead came loose, and so back to Amazon they go. As I said, very sad. Maybe I got a pair with a defect at manufacture. I may even try another pair. The search for the perfect earphones can be so frustrating. Sound is essential. So is comfort. You find the perfect pair, then they break.

I was actually quite disappointed by the sound. There is NO bass whatsoever. There's good detail in the highs, but its overdone, and actually comes across quite harsh and uncomfortable.

I was able to compensate for this using the EQ settings on my walkman, but if your not able to do this on an iPod, then I would have been seriuously upset.
Still however, didn't like the sound of the earphones.

The case it came with was nice- a good idea and they look nice. But inevitably after about a year, one earphone lost sound so not particularly durable. My sold sennheiser lasted about 2-3 years.

I think there are better options out there. I can't recommend..
