This is the best boxing collection I've seen. If you're looking for recent, modern fighters (who, Mayweather and Pacman aside, can't hold a candle to these greats IMO) then you should look elsewhere, but if you're interested in boxing history and the TRUE greats of the sport then look no further. The fighters covered are basically the best of the 20th century, although to be fair there is a bit of a bias towards the heavyweights (apart from the 2-hour Sugar Ray Robinson programme and the 5-hour Greatest Fights/Ringside Rivalries programme, all the rest are about heavyweights).

The photography is definitely worth mentioning - incredible shots of all the greats, and the result is a book that you could spend as much time reading as watching the films (well, maybe not - there are something like 34 hours on these discs, after all). The writing is very informative too and complements the action well. A lot of the films are from ESPN's occasional series `Ringside', which if you've seen before you will know is an excellent watch for boxing fans. High-profile guests, lots of former champs and well-informed analysis.

Overall a very classy collection.

It arrived in good time and in good condition,I've given this four stars purely because of the price it is pricey at £80 but for any true boxing fan that wants a well presented, perfectly put together and to delve into the archive of some of boxings greatest fighters then this truly is the best. There are alternatives that are far cheaper but nothing comes close in terms of quality, knowledge, and detail of boxing history. For this to have been a perfect box set there should have been references to the Leonard, hagler, hearns, and Duran ira and best of British like Eubanks, benn,Naseem hamed, mcguigan, calzaghe and Hatton etc. There are DVDs that cover these but nothing to the quality of this espn box set and it really would of made the perfect boxing gift set. That aside I'm glad I bought this, and would recommend to any boxing fan that if you buy any DVD or box set THIS IS THE ONE,there's nothing that comes close at the moment and is absolutely top notch.
