A superb book.Very little overlap from her other titles.The content is varied and interesting.I think it will suit all levels of ability.The instruction is matchless,easy to follow,intelligent and a joy to read and follow.I like the way that the basic strokes are explained across the different media.The hints and tips are timely and useful.The diversity of subject matter and suggestions for your own subjects are thoughtful.This is excellent value for money and I am sure that you will be as enthusiastic and riveted as I am.Do not dither!Buy one for yourself and one for your friend,it is going to be a classic!

You certainly get plenty of book for your money, crammed full of beautiful illustrations and great advice. The techniques shown are so simple but really effective, and as I turned the pages I realised that I have never seen anything quite like this before. There are so many books on the market that aim to help you draw and paint, and I own a few, but this is the first one I have ever come across that goes right to the nitty gritty and shows you how to make the individual strokes that are the building blocks of any drawing or painting. It is an exciting and motivating book, and I thoroughly recommend it.

this book is value for money - if you are an experienced artist or a beginner this book really explains in layman's terms - my tutor at collage uses it all the time- that is how i came to buy it,
