I understand that GP batteries have discontinued the GP390 and replaced it with the GP389. The specifications are almost identical, but the 389 should be able to deliver a higher current for those applications that may require it (such as operating a back light in a watch).
I have used the GP389 in a watch, and also in our cat's location beacon that she wears on her collar. For both applications, they are working very well.
