The PS3 is the best gaming console by far, however ours has only lasted 2 years. It developed the 'red light' problem and has been repaired twice but only lasted a few days after each repair and is now beyond saving. I contacted Sony asking if they thought it acceptable that a £300 machine should only last 2 yrs. but I just get automated e mails as replies. The repairer said this is a common problem! I wonder if anyone has experienced the same problem with the new style consoles before I buy a replacement?
