I have always been a fan of Ugg boots but one thing I was not a fan of is the price and the amount of websites selling copies, so I was always wary of buying them in case they wasn't the real deal!
I have wanted a pair for over a year now and really wanted the tall triplet Bailey button Ugg's but the price has been putting me off as the most I usually pay on a pair of boots is £60.00, but after wanting them for so long I gave up and brought them with my birthday money.I have to say paying that price did hurt for a week after unlike the boots!!
The first thing I was told whilst trying my boots on was once I had purchased my boots there is no need to wear socks as apparently there are natural fibres in the boots which absorb the sweat but doesn't leave the boots smelling! I have to admit once I was told this I didn't quite believe this but so far 7 weeks on and still no smell!
The second thing I learnt whilst buying my Uggs was the sizes. I am usually a very comfortable size 6 but I was advised to try them first as the sizes come up different and that I did find out ot be true when I felt like my toe was going to burst through the front of the boots! So my advice to you is to go a size bigger.
I found with my boots that by 3 weeks they had really stretched as well so if you have wide legs or feet I should think these would be the ideal boots for you.
Now that I have my Uggs after a year's wait, I live and die in them because the comfort is something I have never had from another pair of boots/shoes like I have had with these boots.
My boots were put to the test. Before Christmas we had terrible snow and when it started I was driving on my way home and got stuck on the motorway. I had to abandon my car and walk the 2 hours home. Thing was I had my Uggs on and I could have cried. I had only brought them the week before and I was sure this was going to be £130 ruined. Well I was wrong firstly the sole is very thick and it obviously helped as I didn't slip once. Also although the boots were drenched my feet were still toasty warm and dry. When I got home I placed them under the radiator and two days later I just brushed them over with the ugg care kit brush and they looked as good as new, you can imagine the relief I felt!
I have heard people have found with the Bailey button boots that within the first few days the button has come off. I have still got my button in place and it doesnt look like it is going to budge so I do wonder if maybe that is a fault on the fake Uggs?
So in my opinion yes they are expensive but they are worth it as it is a high quality boot so the old saying you get what you pay for I think is true when it comes to these.
I am going to rate these boots a 4 star and it is only the price which is taking away the 5th star.
