Product Description

Sci-fi thriller directed by Dominic Burns and starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Sean Brosnan and Bianca Bree. When a power cut causes all forms of communication with the outside world to stop, a group of friends band together, soon realising that a huge UFO is hovering over the nearest city and may be the cause. The group then try their best to survive while dealing with the alien invasion and resulting unrest among the citizens, calling upon the help of retired military advisor, George (Van Damme), in order to do so.

1.0 out of 5 stars No, UK equivalent of trash 21 July 2013
Honestly, this movie is bad, just read the reviews under the original Blu-Ray or DVD releases, ASINs B009D508G4 or B009D50D6Y. The artwork on the covers looks as if you are in for a great sci-fi film. Honestly, you aint, I would probably say about 60% of this is either to do with fighting, a bit of martial arts, squabbling, bickering, arguing, some sex, dancing scenes and about 5% scifi and some scenes of the Ufo and its smaller ships. The ufo and ships are done well so I will give them credit for this but this was just a bad movie and I had to fast forward through several of the arguing and fighting scenes as I was getting fed up with it. As for Van Damme's appearance, you dont get much of him at all until the very last 10/15mins and that is probably only 5mins of material so he definitely NOT in this throughout as the advertising might lead you to believe. I don't think the director knows what he wanted to do, either a serious alien invasion scifi flick or a cheesy brit aggression filled soap. It ended up more of the latter. A true disappointment and wasted effort.

5.0 out of 5 stars The UK equivalent of Armageddon 9 July 2013
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
Surprised this film received only a 15 cert and not an 18; what with all the effing and blinding! Not as 'sci-fi' as the film Armageddon, but I thought very well acted, if not a little slow getting going. Includes one of the most violent one-on-one fight scenes I have ever seen on dvd. Inconclusive ending; Jean Claude Van Damme has only a very small bit part. Many scenes filmed with a moving camera, making them a little difficult to follow. However, the lead actress has a nice rack, lads!
