It is amazing how easy it is to use this product, right out of the box.
The main thing is to have a bit of common sense plus some patience.
What I like about this package? You can take Linux Ubuntu for a spin immediately, without having to install anything or do anything complicated.
The only thing you need is to know how to get to the set-up menus (or BIOS) on your laptop. On my computers, as soon as you boot up your system, you hit F2 or F10.
Note of caution: this assumes that you have a computer that was manufactured within the last six or seven years, which allows booting from a usb flash drive. Otherwise, you'll have to do it from the DVD drive.
Once I had my set-up menu, I changed the boot sequence so that booting from the usb drive took precedence over booting from the hard drive or DVD drive.
I then slipped the ubuntu flash drive into the usb port, rebooted the entire system, and voila! My laptop was now booting into Ubuntu.

The next challenge was connecting to my wireless router. If you are connected via an Ethernet cable, then no problem. For me, finding the icon for the wi-fi connection took a few minutes of probing the various icons, but once I found it, it was easy. Ubuntu was able to easily find my wireless router, and as soon as I typed in the pass key, I was connected.
With the wi-fi working, I was able to immediately get onto the internet and check my email, as well as Google a few articles on Ubuntu.

The nice thing is that I am now able to run Ubuntu on my laptop from the flash drive, and I can keep using it in this manner, until I decide if I really want to do a permanent install or not.
The other nice thing is that I can move Ubuntu between my laptops and my desktop computer, simply by moving the flash drive between them. This is useful since now, all my personal files and operating system environment are on the flash drive.

I haven't really decided if I want to install Ubuntu yet on my laptop, but it has been both fun and easy to use "as is", i.e., my own personal Ubuntu system and operating environment "on a (usb) stick".
Well worth the price for someone who just wants to become familiar with Linux and to be able to take it for a spin.
