An LED indicates whether your iPod is charging or full. All you need aside from the USB car charger is a 30pin Dock-to-USB sync cable which, though not included with this product, is readily available in most electronics stores. The cables come in a variety of lengths and features such as retraction so choose one that is suited to your needs. An exception is the iPod Shuffle which is small enough to connect to the Macally Car Charger without the aid of a cable. The car charger is compact, about the size of an adult's thumb, fitting easily into your pocket, purse or your car's glove compartment.
