This USB to parallel cable is just what I needed to connect my old LaserJet4 Plus printer to my modern Vista desktop which has no parallel port. The cable is about 1.5m long and is good value: perfect for giving new life to an old printer.

It does what it says it does. I used it to connect a HP LaserJet 6P to a new computer, and it worked after de driver was downloaded via windows update.

Cool runnings
I could not get this cable to work with my HP 6P printer. The printer and driver works ok with a Centronics to Centronics cable but just prints rubbish when using this cable. Read more

Trouble
It doesn't work with my Vista laptop and an old Lexmark 1100. I haven't found out why yet. The carriage just goes backwards and forwards constantly until you switch it off! Read more

I received the printer cable within 3 days. Unfortunately it was not quite what I needed but am glad to keep it for future use. Would recommend any prospective buyers.
