Be very careful when ordering this product. It is not good enough just to be a 3 mobile broadband user, it is not even good enough to be a user of a 3 mobile broadband modem, you have to have the RIGHT 3 mobile modem. I ordered this router, it was delivered and I thought - good we can now use multiple laptops anywhere we go. I set it up as per the instructions, all well until I tried to connect a laptop wirelessly to the router. It wouldn't do it. I retried everything several times, and finally discovered that I had the wrong modem. Looking at the 3 website, most of the modems available are wrong too. This product will only operate with Huawei modems, not the ubiquitous ZTE modem. The third party supplier's response was a polite version of hard luck, and I have temporarily swapped modems wih a friend who has a Huawei modem. We just changed simcards, and all seems OK.
Having said all that, if you have a Huawei modem, this is a marvellous piece of kit, in that, wherever you go, you can take your wireless connection with you. Soon a landline will be superfluous. Next time I move, if not before, it will be bye-bye BT/ Virgin, I will be all mobile. Anything over 1 Mbps download speed, and 15GB monthly download limit is plenty for two of us, (we're not into music or video piracy), just general browsing and e-mailing. Any large downloads can be done overnight. I'm sure some people will laugh at those speeds and capacities, but I'm sure they will improve as network capacity increases, but for now the versatility and capability is what is important.

I've owned this product for almost 3 months now. I'm using the 3 Mobile Broadband E160 USB dongle with it and it works OK, nevertheless, there's some things that are not working properly.
The good:
- You can share internet wireless.
- You can avoid broadcasting in order to have a "hidden network".
The bad:
- The security is poor, you can access via telnet (which is enabled by default) by using the login and password "admin". So far, there's no way to change this password, so, computers inside your LAN can have access to the router directly. Best option is to disable telnet access.
- "Virtual Server" doesn't seems to be working on 3 network, or at least, not with this router. I've configured correctly the port forwarding options but it doesn't redirect to the appropriate ports. The option doesn't work and until now there's no new firmware to upgrade the router.
My opinion:
- If all you want to do is to share internet through WiFI at home, you can buy this router.
- If you want to share internet securely and be able to share printer servers (or any other kind of "virtual servers": FTP, WWW...etc) i don't recommend this router. I'm going to buy a new one to do so because as far as i know no new firmware has been released for the D100 router (even though all these bugs had been reported to huawei).

This item is great but be warned - it's a poor item as sometimes it switches its self off while the Wii, laptop or desktop waits for a signal from the router. No matter how many times I change the settings it still does the same.
