Planning a fairly long car trip and needing a method of keeping my computer running I searched the internet and came across this at a very reasonable price. There seems to be enough plug adaptors to fit virtually any type of computer. Certainly, it was easy to pick one to fit my Samsung R505 and after setting the voltage to the correct amount it worked perfectly immediately - a very useful accessory.

I bought this item to power my Samsung Q45. In spite of a previous review (from "L D") claiming that this purchase would support a Samsung 19V, 4.74A, I found no tip that would fit. In fact the range of tips is quite limited and none would fit my wife's Lenovo laptop either. In any case, the polarity of the tip was incorrect for both laptops and, oddly, there is no way of changing the polarity (as pointed out by reviewer "bear").
However, it should be pointed out that this item is very cheap. I was able to use the money I saved on this purchase to modify it to my needs. With a soldering iron and a trip to Maplin I was able to buy the correct tip for my laptop and wire it up with the correct polarity. It now works perfectly and the total cost to my pocket was less than £10. For that reason I give this 3 stars.
If you're not capable or prepared to modify this item I suggest you contact the vendors directly and specifically ask whether it is compatible with your device.

does not fit HP
I have a HP laptop for which I brought the adaptor, I am disapointed as the largest adaptor conection is still too small to fit though advert clearly states it is suitable for HP. Read more

Absolute Crap
On receipt the voltage selector would not budge,so I tested the output plug with a multimeter and NO Voltage.Then tried to move the selector and it broke. Read more

Laptop Power Adapter

lap top charger

Works just fine
