I should have known better than to trust something so cheap, but Adam Hall usually only sell quality stuff so I was willing to take the chance.
They arrived swiftly and seemed like an OK product (for the price).
However, the pivot point is not firm enough to hold the mic (an SM58 in this instance) at the desired angle. The clip itself also has a 'satin' finish and is only just SM58-sized, so it doesn't really 'grip' the mic. As a consequence of these 2 failings, the mic tilts down (capsule end first) at the slightest provocation and then slips from the clip and falls onto the floor - denting the pop screen!
I did, of course, tighten the screw at the pivot point - which helped slightly - but I had to tighten further to prevent it happening again. You can guess where we're going here... the hard plastic 'base' simply cracked, rendering the clip completely useless.
Oh well, lesson learned. Going to look for a PROPER clip now ...
