SO... i received the product nice and promptly as described so cant fault the seller on that.
when i unpacked the product all was as supposed to be, until i plugged them in. i switched them on but the light didn't come on, i tried a few timesand tried twisting the calbe in different directions but stil nothing.
I left it for a few hours and tried again and miraculously the light came on. The next problem was that they started smoking. i turned them off instantly and left for a while. I tried again about 4 or 5 times each time smoke started to come out of the barrel where the clamp attached.
I left them overnight and tried the next day and for some reason they now decided to work perfectly! i left them on for around 10 minutes before using them and tried to do a section of my hair, which worked lovely!
I then threw away the packaging and receipt as was happy my product now worked.
The day came to curl my hair for a night out - which started well, then all of a sudden they started cutting out (the power/light). i managed to twiddle the cable around to get the light working again, but eventually the tongs only had power when held low to the floor and upside down.
I tapped the tong on the floor to see if that would make any difference and they literally snapped in half! WHo know what would have happening if they had been accidentally dropped or something.
Of course i did concider returning the item (in pieces) but couldnt as had no packaging or receipt.
So... if you buy this product - ensure to keep everything until you are 100% satisfied!!

The gold design and handle works well but the temperature does not get high enough for my hair and the cord isnt long enough.
