UFO, The Search for Truth,

Having read Pat Regan's earlier publication "Dirty Politics", I just knew that "UFO, The Search for Truth", would be just as well researched and an equally good read. I wasn't disappointed. This book has encouraged me to be more observant of our skies and ask questions myself. Pat Regan still has questions that remain unanswered, and like him, I too would like to know the truth.

Having been given this book as a gift it didn't take long to realise that this isn't anywhere near the quality offered by other authors.I am heavily interested in the UFO subject, having read a large number of books that covers either a particular case (Corona and Rendlesham etc) or numerous cases (books by Tim Good etc). I'm sorry to say that this is the weakest and most poorly written book I've read on the subject. The book is littered with spelling mistakes and frequently decends into, what I'm sorry to have to say, almost ramblings of a mad man. The title of the book, 'The Search for Truth', is a complete mis-direction as little to no searching or investigation has taken place. Almost the whole book contains what may as well be copy and pastes from web / newspaper articles. Occasional communication with Nick Pope is included and it doesn't take long to feel sorry for Nick due to the badgering from the author. It seems that everytime the author takes a photo it contains an anomoly when digitally enhanced. Taking photos of airplanes and then finding a UFO when the image is digitally altered is not proof of any kind. Digital artifacts do not help the cause, and neither does the authors statements of nothing being seen in the sky at the time the photos were taken. The only interesting image is the first one taken and discussed and also pictured on the cover of the book. One unusual photo does not automatically make someone an expert. The remains of the book is filled with talk of Paganism, fairies and how wind turbines are a conspiracy. It was a complete struggle to get through this book. Buy this book by all means if you have the money to waste. I appreciate the efforts of the author to try and produce something worthwhile and I'm sorry for being so hard but people have to be warned of what they are buying.
