DVD Description

The truth is out there – and the UFO Hunters are on the case.

Follow the team from UFO Magazine as they open their files and investigate UFO cases around the globe. Editor-in-Chief Bill Birnes and frequent contributor Dr. Ronnie Milione are joined by Pat Uskert, a  journalist with a speciality in securing access to UFO documentation. The team's access to UFO evidence is unparalleled, and together they use eyewitness accounts, scientific experimentation, rare unseen  footage and recently released documents to piece together compelling – and at times chilling – evidence of UFO phenomena. If the truth is out there, they’ll find it. Prepare to be intrigued and entertained in equal measure, with thirteen brand new episodes of UFO Hunters.

• Shot on-location around the world, the series follows the team from UFO Magazine as they seek the answers to the mysteries of UFO phenomena while demonstrating scientific evidence that pushes the boundaries of modern-day thinking.

• Featuring eyewitness accounts, scientific experiments, and recently released documents from the FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) to investigate UFO cases.

ufo hunters series 3 7 April 2011
Overall I thought the UFO Hunters was a great series, the investigations were methodical and they attempted to inject fresh material or view points. The only critism I can put forward was the replacement of Ted Acworth with the smug self rightous skeptic in series three. It was a shame the History channel cancelled series four.

I have just finished watching series 3 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Bill and Pat are congenial hosts who investigate each UFO case as best they can and also ask everyman questions like 'couldn't those triangles in the sky be some sort of new Stealth fighter?' Some of the inestigations even turn up evidence. Ted's replacement is far too smug who seems to have been pre-programmed by the show's producers to be the skeptic but, aside from that, this is the best UFO series I have seen in ages and well worth watching.

UFO Hunters was and is my favorite show. Despite the fact that it was the the highest rated show across the board in its time slot,it was abruptly canceled with no explanation. How ever it has been concluded that Disney (who owns Discovery) did not like the horrific material covered in the episode (Underground Alien Bases). Apparently the sight of a half cow/half human baby corps coupled with allegations of military personnel working with aliens to commit crimes against nature was considered a possible political black eye for the fragile Disney corporation. Not enough to stop that episode from being aired in its entirety or form the rest of the season to be aired at the top of its time-slot for the rest of the season. They just simply did not order the forth season and let the show die. I for one would have rather have seen an edited version of that particular episode than have nothing at all.
What I don't understand most of all is why Discovery.com would still have seasons 1 and 2 for sale but (as of yet) refused to sell season 3 in the U.S.. I don't know for cretin but possibly the powers at play think that the U.K. is more accepting of con-traversal material such as this.
I for one think that the material is not so extreme that such extreme measures had to be executed or why other shows that deal with UFOs are still in high demand, yet the biggest, the best, and the first one to the party got kicked out.

I received my copy in "fair" condition, (It had a deep gouge in the front of the box) not too bad considering that it went on such a long trip. I can not get it to play in my PS3 "yet", but when I tried it in my LG blu-ray player it fired right up with no hesitation. Solid A for Amazon U.K.!
