This definitive companion tells the full story of the making of the series, presents a comprehensive guide to all 26 TV episodes, and goes 80 feet beneath the Harlington-Straker Film Studios to lift the lid on the top-secret SHADO organisation.
Revised and updated for this hardback edition, the book now includes details of the unfilmed episode 'The Patriot' and plans to remake the series for a 21st century audience, plus an eight-page colour photo section and a new foreword by best-selling author Donald James.
About the Author
Chris Bentley is the author of 'The Complete Book of Thunderbirds', 'The Complete Book of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons' and 'The Complete Gerry Anderson – The Authorised Episode Guide'. He is also the Chairman of Fanderson, the Official Gerry Anderson Appreciation Society.
Donald James is the author of the best-selling novels 'Monstrum', 'The Fortune Teller', 'Vadim' and 'Walking the Shadows', and also 'World's End: A Memoir of a Blitz Childhood'. As a screen-writer, he has written for many TV series including 'Mission: Impossible', 'The Champions', 'The Saint', 'Department S' and 'The Persuaders!' For Gerry Anderson, he scripted episodes of 'Joe 90', 'The Secret Service', 'UFO', 'The Protectors' and 'Space:1999' as well as the feature film 'Doppelganger' (1969).
