Ultimate Fights Mode

Ultimate Fights Mode is the evolution of UFC 2009's Classic Fights Mode and allows players to relive some of the more memorable fights in UFC history. Players are given the opportunity to play the mode as a single player experience in an attempt to unlock content associated with each fight. Players can also play the mode as a two-player experience, squaring off against friends with special presentation and commentary elements.

Each fight opens with an introduction from one of the UFC Octagon Girls, Arianny Celeste or Chandella Powell, who break down the significance of each fight. Following the introduction, a pre-fight montage is played with comments from each fighter and a brief history on how the fight came to fruition. Once the prefight montage is over, the basic match flow occurs and gameplay begins.

The main difference between Classic Fights from last year and the Ultimate Fights for UFC Undisputed 2010 is the introduction of Fight Categories and Multiple Challenges for each fight. Assigning each fight to a category helps structure the mode and allows players to easily identify each type of fight, while the introduction of Multiple Challenges for each fight adds replayability to the mode.

Another new component is the ability to "play as the

Fun:
I have had the game for a few days now and i have to admit i am quite enjoying it. I have only played a few exhibition matches and career mode, so bare in mind that in this review i am only stating towards career mode and the game might well be different in a different section of the game.

The gameplay is good, but far too repetitive. You will probably find yourselve playing this game less and less as time passes due to that fact. The transtions can be a little jerky, although there is a huge variety of moves and choices of where to go next to choose from, Otherwise the gameplay seems to be rather smooth. Personally i find that the submissions are far too overpowered and once your in one you are unlikely to get out and you therefore lose the match. I have found this massively fustrating and find it the worst part of the game.

The graphics are ok, not much of a change from UFC Undisputed 2009 but never the less does not dissrupt the enjoyment of the game at all. ALthough there are some interesting places that you find your player hits due to the position of the player. For example a elbow the opponent in the face, but it actually hits him in the shoulder but he bleeds from the face and gets KO.

Overall it is a pretty good game short-term, although lacks the variety of gameplay to be able to play it repeatedly.

Fun:
It's a really addictive game; one of the funniest fighting sports related game's.

The graphics are good, however it not in the same league as fight night champion, however where fight night is often boring and repetitive. UFC 2010 is faster more brutal and fun to play,I could knock people out for hours!
Although the game itself it fun, the gameplay is pretty un realistic, in that all boxers in real life can throw hooks and uppercuts. However on the game not all boxers can upper cut. It's also quicker to throw the same punch twice, than mix strikes up. Combo's are poor!

It still has unrealistic feature's, like the clinch, its to hard to escape, and is rigged online so they have easy victories. Once on the ground it's utterly boring.

The career mode is similar to 2009, however few improvements have been made not dramatic. You still start of really slow and weak, in terms of strength, speed and cardio as an amateur these are often natural attributes and don't change that much, on the game you start of with hardly no attributes at all and to think you turn pro with so many crap levels is pathetic.

However its a fun game and I'd recommend it, but its often frustrating to get off the ground or clinch.

the undisputed review 26 July 2010
Fun:
this is the best MMA game on console by far. theres nothing quite as satisfying as knocking out one of the games powerhouse fighters with a giant kick to the head. this is all fine and good. the problem is the ground game is far too complicated. not i know people will dissagree with me on this but i feel a phd is required to figure out what is actualy going on while grappling. due to this most of my fights end up with a 2 minute hugging sesion that ends up being broken up by the ref. this game is not for casual gamers and if learning 100 different moves for varying situations is not your thing i would sugest the fight night series.
