This is a great DVD to get to know Forrest Griffin. I was a bit dubious about it because I read his book Got Fight?: The 50 Zen Principles of Hand-to-face Combat
. In this Forrest wrote this as part of his self-decrepitating humour of a mega macho UFC fighter. By the end of the book I did not know fact from fiction. The DVD on the other hand is great.
Forrest and the people around him are open and honest about himself, pre/during/post UFC. This is a great feel good story of what someone could achieve by putting their heart and soul on the line in every fight. If you question Forrest's honesty, he put the Anderson Silva fight in this DVD and talked about it the most embarrassing loss of his career. He talks about all the highs and lows of his UFC career. In his own words no matter what else he has accomplished in the UFC (including winning the Light-Heavyweight world title), he will always be known for the Ultimate fighter season one finalise and he is ok with that.
Even the bonus features are great. Especially the Griffin and Bonner segment. These two need to have their own talk show. Apart from being great fighters, whatever projects these two work on together is magic. All in all a great DVD set.
