Product Description

Review

'This is the book we have all been waiting a long time for and it will surely become an indispensable guide for both applicants and advisers. It covers everything the applicants need to know on their journey from choosing a university right through to their arrival on campus. It contains really useful tips from those who have been through the process as well as numerous case studies and suggestions from university admissions tutors about what to put in a personal statement. It is the most comprehensive guide to the university application process I have ever come across and I shall certainly be advising both my sixth formers and work colleagues to get hold of a copy.' David Fullerton, Head of Careers at Dean Close School, Cheltenham 'Absolutely brilliant! It's a must have read - not only for students who are thinking about higher education, but their parents , new advisers or anyone at all who wants to understand the process. It is all there in a practical, informative and easy to understand format. It is completely impartial and offers fabulous tips and advice (particularly like the use of symbols) and it will certainly be on my shelf! It truly is a fully comprehensive guide that the reader will be able to dip in and out of at various stages.' Debbie Verdino, Post-16 Manager at Thomas Deacon Academy

THANKYOU. SO MUCH. 29 April 2011
By Papap94
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I'm a student now studying for my A-levels and looking to progress to university in 2012... and the whole idea's been seeming terrifying!! Having sent off for numerous prospectuses and realising I needed to start booking Open Days, my mum found this book and ordered it for herself to try and answer some questions she had. SO GLAD SHE DID THIS! I started flicking through it when I realised my mum was learning more about the application process than I knew, and learned so much. It answers all the questions I'd have felt stupid for asking at college, it's inspired me to do my research and take this so much more seriously, and it's made the transition from college to uni seem WAY less daunting. I recommend it completely for anyone who's even thought in passing about higher education, or anyone with a family member doing so. It doesn't hurt to know what you're talking about!
