The game is not a polished game, however, it still has a lot of qualities in the aspect of boxing, it is a lot of fun for it's price.
Victorious Boxers Challenge (Wii) has a lot of boxing tricks and moves, besides your typical jab, upper cut, hook, straight, etc, you can also move your upper body in all 360 degrees, and your attacks correspond with you upper body's position, making many different possibilities of attack, and the game performs these attacks and character movements in a smooth and fluid way.
All of which corresponds with the movement of your Wii controllers, it was difficult to learn how to perform some of the moves at first, but the learning curve is not difficult, though to become more advanced, I can see it could take a lot of training. I found their official website offers much better instruction on the controls than the in game tutorial.
The main aspect of the game was good, however, some other aspects failed me in this game.
Victorious Boxer is a Japanese Manga, yet, the story under the story mode in this game was poorly done, so much so that I have seen better story, script, voice acting and the presentation done much better in a game twenty years ago. It is clear that the developer placed all their attention in the action of the game, and forfeit everything else.
If you wish to box on the Wii in a detailed fashion and forget the story or everything else, this game is good value for money.
