Fun:
I thought this game a bit weird at first, with quite a lot of dialogue, but after playing for a while I am totally addicted.

The game centers around Isaac, a boy who's parents are missing, and he is being bought up by a witch in the woods. the earth has been taken over by monsters, as an evil magician who has opened portals to another world. Isaacs father is a powerful magician who has left Isaac the wand of light, and the evil magician has stolen the wands of earth, wind, water, and fire, which Isaac must try to get back.

Although the battles seem hard at first, you can actually move around the map after a bit and fight extra battles to increase your experience which is really helpful, and learning to catch different monsters really works to your advantage.

Overall I'd say that this game is a brilliant RPG. highly recommended.

Great fun to play! 24 July 2006
Fun:
This game was interesting to read about and after getting it certainly didn't disappoint. This game fully utilises the DS functions, eg. the touch screen. It even allows gamers a choice between using Left or Right Hand when casting spells.

There are absolutely tonnes of spells to learn and cast during the game, and lots of monsters to capture and have under your command as you play through the game. However, most of the monsters are variations of eachother but differ in terms of element (earth, wind, water, fire, dark, light) and their attributes differ depending on the element.

Lost Magic is lots of fun though as you use the monsters to fight other monsters in the levels and cast spells by drawing runes on the touch screen. The story is not too shabby either and there are five engrossing chapters to play through before you can tackle it again in hard mode.

The difficulty of the levels are a good mix and each region has it's particular element that the monsters derive from so it's good to test out the strength of different monsters and magic. This game is no doubt one of the most enjoyable to play on the DS.

Lost Magic 15 Feb 2007
Fun:
At first I thought this game was utter rubbish and hard but then I started to learn how to play it and yes I think the game is great and very addictive. The battles appear to be hard and you at first you want to stick your stylus straight through the screen but the secret to the first few battles is to keep healing yourself while your team of monsters fight the bad monsters and then you start to crack it. I have played this now for over 16 hours and I'm still playing, as the game progresses you start to have different options which is where you are best to save your progress under a 'new save' that way if you are not happy with what you have chosen you can go to your other 'saves'. With over 400 spells to combine it is also best to experience your new spells and moves on the lower levels then it is to try on the harder ones. Good luck

Well & Truly Lost
This game is devoid of magic & it's too much like hard work. Conjuring or drawing the spells is very difficuilt for a left handed player. Buyer Beware!
