4.0 out of 5 stars Fun but challenging, 2 Aug 2008
A Kid's Review
Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
Imagine babies is a very good game but it can be a bit confusing. The graphics are good and there is quite a bit to do with the baby you are looking after, you just have to know how to do it. Basicly, you are a babysitter and a mum or dad will drop there baby boy or girl off at your house. You can make friends with the parents by looking after there children well. Usually the parent will tell you if the baby has eaten or needs to be fed, or if they need a bath and you should do so. Once the baby has been dropped off you are in charge of it with help from your stalk friend. The stalk, I think, isn't much help, but you will gradually work out what to do. You can rock the baby if it is agitated, also do this before putting it to sleep in it's crib. You can dress it up in costumes and normal close which you can buy from the computer, along with toys and paint. You can feed it, bath it and should do so after playing in the backyard. While no babies are in the house, or if they are asleep. Click on the attic door, you can paint the walls, hoover, or mow the lawn. When you have brought something from the computer, you have the wait for the delivery man to come. Sometimes the phone will ring, pick it up and it could be another parent asking you to look after there child later on. As you become better with the babies, you will have to look after more children and get a degree in babysitting. Have fun and good luck with this game because it is worth buying!

3.0 out of 5 stars A great game - but a lot of room for improvement., 29 Dec 2007
By Anna R "Anna" (Warrington, North - West England) - See all my reviews
Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
I got this game for Christmas, and, being fourteen I am at the very top end of the recommended age range. I was a bit worried that it might be babyish but it's actually very enjoyable! I can understand why younger people in previous reviews would have been confused but I worked out what to do quite easily.
The best things about the game are probably the originality, the graphics (of the babies during minigames) and the difficulty level - not too hard but not so easy it's boring. However, maybe it would be more difficult for younger players....
The instructions could definately be improved - they seem to have been rushed and are very unclear and brief. The graphics of the house are also not great - it is very basic and looks very little like a realy house. I have only had the game for a few days and have almost bought all of the items in the catalogue (which are mostly the same toy but with different pictures on it!!) so more items would really improve gameplay.
Another annoying thing - the babies are not really babies and dopn't vary enough in terms of development - the are all toddlers. It would be nice to have a couple of younger babies - who could be bottle fed rather than with baby food and maybe an older toddler who could feed themselves to a certain extent....
Also the game is very repetitive, and you can't change the character - hair, face....
However, the game is very enjoyable and I have had a good few hours of fun out of it. Also, as I say, I am at the very top end of the age range so maybe some aspects of the game are simply too young for me... I know I seem to have put more critisism than praise but the annoyances did not deter me from the unique gameplay and cute graphics.....
I would recommend it...but not highly. Basically....if you were planning to buy it, don't let my negative points put you off - it's a lot of fun!

P.s - previous reviewer: HOW TO PUT A BABY TO SLEEP
To put a baby to bed simply press on the crib in the bedroom with your stylus. The baby should appear in the crib. Then move the blue ball in the strip to which ever direction the arrow is pointing. This is sometimes slow going on the first move but keep going and it will soon move much more easily. The crib will then be rocking. Keep rocking the crib, trying not to speed up or slow down too much - steadily. After a bit the baby should roll onto it's left side, put it's thumb in it's mouth and close it's eyes. Keep rocking for a couple more seconds to make sure it's asleep the click on the exit arrow at the bottom left hand corner of the screen. You will leave the baby asleep, leaving you able to vacuum, wash dishes or whatever while they sleep. Go back and check after a bit and they'll have woken up! Hope this helps! xxx

4.0 out of 5 stars Imagine Babies......, 28 Dec 2007

Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
I brought this game for my daughter
she enjoys it vey much but the only thing she said was that
it takes a while to work out what to do on the games
e.g feeding the baby, you have to click on the little spoon at the top and follow it round the path
but she has no idea how to get them to sleep

i do recommend this product but it takes a while to work out and the instructions dont help much!
