5.0 out of 5 stars good game? hell no!! it's a great game! 26 July 2006
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
i wasn't sure about this game when i first saw it was coming out. i did, however, add it to my wanted list. i kept looking at it, and the screenshots, and when i saw it reduced somewhere, i bought it. well thank god i did! i love it!! 100 levels of wracking you brain and testing your puzzle and logical skills. granted, i've not completed the 100 levels yet, but only 24 or so to go!! i am stuck on one level, though!

some levels you can maybe complete on the first go, but others take a good few shots to get right. there's also the scoring, you will probably have to replay levels to get that 100/100 perfect score! especially if you are a perfectionist :p

i've also downloaded the extra levels from the official site, and there's actually 110 of them. that's a whole extra game you get for one price!! BARGAIN!! i've only played the first 10, but am looking forward to the rest.

people nowadays are wanting 3d graphics, graphics that are like watching a film... well i'm not so keen on 3d, that's maybe what half attracted me to this game. the graphics are good and suited to the game.

there's a sequel, but atm is only for japan. i do hope it gets released here, as it will be added to my collection.

overall, this game is great. no less than 5 stars from me.

and now... my Exit...

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this game and from the start enjoyed it. At first however (before I bought the game) I thought that the graphics looked 'tacky' or 'of poor quality' but as I saw AMAZON had reduced the price I decided to take the gamble. I recieved the game and put it straight into my PSP. I was surprised at how satisfied I was with it. The gameplay was excellent. The game could have easily been spoiled but the good gameplay and most of all deep thought gone into the game made it great! The game like I said was well thought about , the levels are really challanging and I have still not completed the game.

Back to the graphics, the graphics I found blended in with the style of the game. The designers did not make the game for awards but for fun and entertainment which is what made the game what it is, excellent

The game is worthy of 5*s, Mr.ESC's puzzled world will be the best puzzled world on the PSP for a long time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just can't put it down, 22 Jan. 2007
Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
Such a simple concept and masterfully done.

100 levels, each takes about 4 minutes to complete.

Sounds easy, it's not.

You are Mr. ESC. It seems that you just can't help but entering burning buildings to save people. Using extinguishers, keys, ropes and more; your job is to rescue people from burning buildings.

You can also command the rescuee's to assist with putting fires out, opening doors and the like.

The pace is a little slower than most games and it can get annoying when you 'waste' time but the game more than makes up for it with genuine puzzle-style play and a very styled look of its own.

As if the 100 provided levels were not enough, there are more for you to download either directly from the game or as a pack from the website.

A genuinely fresh PSP release that will please puzzlers and platformers alike. A must for your PSP collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Puzzle gaming at its greatest 5 April 2006
It's rare to find these days an original and innovative title on any platform but that quality can be found in this little PSP game.
With over 100 levels and extra downloadble goodies, your in for a long time of brain surgery.
You play the role of Mr.ESC an escapist who has to rescue people from burning or collapsing buildings etc. But this is not just your simple platformer - you must use the folks you rescue, may it be a child, adult or even injured patients, to help you to help them escape and get everyone to safety. Children can climb through small gaps, adults can push large blocks and Mr.ESC has a whole array of abilities himself.
With this much original fun and a good long playtime, incredible visual style and an impressive audio track - I highly recommend this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well...I like it anyway... 13 Jan. 2007

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
This is a great game for those who want a puzzle-solver and I think people who have played Loco-Roco and PQ will like this game (with the exception of some reviewers I've seen).

You're Mr Exit, the guy who has come to save the day and rescue helpless individuals who are trapped in buildings. Using Mr Exit, you find people who need help, after which they can often help you get out so that you can help them escape. Heh heh, it's pretty cool.

The puzzles involve things like putting out fires, finding ropes to get down big drops and finding keys to open doors. There's a time limit for each stage and I've found myself going back over and over to try and beat my old records and put new ones online! :)

So then, in a nut shell:

Pros

-Fun gameplay requiring thought and going back to beat your old stage times

-Online score uploading and viewing other people's scores

-Clever puzzles using the people's different abilities to your advantage

-Done all 100 puzzles? Download more! I believe there's over 100 new puzzles online, I haven't even got through them all yet!

Cons

-Background music does tend to get a little annoying after long playing times

-One of the reviewers was technically correct, it can be a little slow and frustrating sometimes, but I find it's not too bad as you use the time thinking about the puzzle

All in all, a tidy little game and I love the comic-style visuals. If you're looking for a slightly more 'grown-up' puzzle game, I'd definitely buy PQ, my favorite PSP game to date along with GTA:VCS. Buy both EXIT and PQ with confidence :)
