4.0 out of 5 stars Great family fun with Cool Cats 22 Jan 2008
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
This was a present for my 6 year old daughter for Xmas.
It wasn't what I thought it would be at all.
I thought it was going to be like the Nintendogs game where you have a pet & take it training, walking etc.
Once I got over the initial shock - we as a family have got well into the game.
My 6 year old girl loves it - you can choose the type of cat you want to play the game & name it.
It is an adventure game where you are given quests by the various characters.
Different areas of the island are unlocked as you carry out the quests.
Both myself and my partner have ended up playing it after our daughter has gone to bed.
I don't particularly like violent, shoot em up type of games & it is nice to have a game that catches your interest and has a bit of strategy, but not too much for an under ten to get to grips with.
I have finished the game, but quite happily started it again with a bit of hindsight & the knowledge to do it better the 2nd time round.
reccommended as a pleasant family game.
We are not a family who have all the other games consoles - we only got the Wii because of its more interactive and active nature.
The game makes good use of the Wii remote.

3.0 out of 5 stars An Ok Role Playing Cat Game 29 Mar 2009
Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
Bought this on special offer for my daughter - nearly six. I agree with others that there is alot of reading involved in this game, so don't expect to switch it on and let it babysit your younger child for a couple of hours. However, the game is quite imaginative and quite addictive once you get into it and I've enjoyed helping my daughter with the words and the gameplay. She enjoys the game and hasn't got bored.

You choose a cat to play with and travel around an island on quests to repair damage wreaked on everyone by an evil wolf. There are lots of challenges, mini games, money to earn and things to collect.

In summary, a reasonable game for the money but expect any child under 8yrs to need assistance.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's great! 29 May 2009
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I'm not quite sure why everyone is complaining about this game. If youre expecting it to be the Cat version of Nintendogs then you will be dissappointed as it is nothing like it but it is a fantastic game! You choose the cat you want, choose it's gender, name it and undergo a series of missions to save your island from the big, bad wolf! You can also dress up your cat, fish, catch bugs and well, the list is endless. It really is great!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not suitable for non-readers 15 April 2009
By VeeJay
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this game for my 5 year old. Although she loves the characters and the concept, it is such a shame that the cats don't talk the instructions as she can't do anything on her own as we have to read everything for her. Her other frustration is pointing the fish bone to move - if the game had the nunchuk too she could have moved around with a lot more ease. As for the minigames - we still haven't managed to beat the computer on the first level!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not the best! 25 Jan 2011

Fun: 2.0 out of 5 stars
I literally played this game for about 2 minutes and couldn't stand it any longer! I've always loved the idea of following a storyline but this was too kiddy like for me, the bad thing about this game as this doesn't really have a suitable target audience besides older kids who also might find this boring, but younger kids would find this too difficult to use as there is a lot of reading involved and no talking and also the fact you have to use the cursor and the b button to walk which considering I have a 4 year old cousin myself and I know he struggles to use the cursor on the wii and would rather play games which are nunchuck compitable. Overall I would give this game a 2/5. Not the best.

3.0 out of 5 stars wanted to love it more, but good. 13 May 2014

I got this game purely because I am cat mad.
Filled with mini games and mini atories it seems quite provressive.
Perhaps only for kids and the crazy cat ladies among us!
Fantastic for kids.
Gameplay is smooth, graphics are minimal and controls are simple.

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this as a present for my niece & she was so excited when she unwrapped it. All our family are cat lovers/owners & it was such fun creating a pet & personalising them & sending them on adventures.
