Product Description

Cold or numb hands can spoil the enjoyment of your chosen watersport. Gloves that are too bulky may provide protection but make it difficult to use your fingers. The trade off is between warmth and dexterity. Typhoon have developed a range of gloves that enable you to have both with these great 'Race 111' gloves in a combination navy, charcoal grey and black. They also provide excellent grip and have added protection in the key hardwearing areas especially on the palms and fingers with the tips pf the fingers and thumb exposed for extra grip. Stocked in 5 sizes - XL (larger mens), L (average mens), M (ladies) , S (Average age 12 - 14) and XS (Average age 10 - 12). Please take in to account the size of your child as some 12 year olds can be as big as adults. A great watersport glove that looks as good as it feels on - especially good for Dinghy sailors - no finger or thumb tips. Lots of quality features.

what can I say?, they are very good quality for the pennies you will pay for them, as with my other review of this type of glove the size needs considering, contact the seller to get a measurment before you purchase, the fingerless gloves are much tighter to get on and seem stiff, but will probably loosen off In time.quality Is very good.

These were bought as a gift for my son who said they were a great fit, were comfy and were easy to wear.

I bought these gloves just before starting sailing lessons and I am really glad that I had these.

I bought a size large and I found that they felt really tight and I say I would have average size hands, not super large or anything. I asked an instructor if they seemed to be too small and I was told that they are probably about right, but once I get them wet (they are neoprene), they will adjust better and feel alot more comfortable. I would agree with that for sure. After two lessons of use and after getting them in the water a bit more, they felt much better. I probably could have stepped up to an XL and felt more comfortable but in the end they broke into the fit of my hands much better. It does take a few days of use to really get them broken in.

I started sailing lessons in Ireland in October and so it was starting to get cold. These gloves really kept my hands a lot warmer than when i did not wear them. It is very much a wet suit effect to the hands and really made things easier.

I am not sure how I felt about the tips being cut off all of the fingers. My friend bought the version with only the thumb and pointer finger cut and I started to feel that that might have been a little better as I was starting to get a little chaffing on the ropes on the tips of my fingers at times. This was after two intense early morning to late evening sailing lessons though and it could just be the longer duration of rope work that did this. It may have been better to have them cut than otherwise to prevent wear. I will need to report back on this.

This is my 2nd pair of these gloves in the last 18 months, and each time have been really good.
I work as an outdoor activity instructor, so my job requires me to use my hands all the time for saftey and protection. I have used others in the past, but these are one of the best I've used, They have good grip, a good fit, keep your hands warm and still allow you to do fiddley things with your fingers.
The only downside is that they require a little wearing in for a week or so to take out the ridgedness of them but after that they are great for a long time. I give it Two thumbs up and 5 stars!
