Was looking for a second set of scales to help my daughter with her maths (my current set is with old fashioned weights) and to also help her when she was weighing ingredients for cooking. I find it helps my daughter to visualise the difference between ounces and grams/pounds and kilograms. Also bought it for the colour - red just love it. Goes with my colour scheme of cream units and black granite work tops. Its not heavy either.
