An enjoyable read 3 Oct 2005
By M. S. Bemiss - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Mass Market Paperback
When I purchased this book I didn't realize that it was part of a series, so I will have to go back and read the other two. Still, I found the book interesting and entertaining. A previous review stated that the gods were infantile, but when compared to the antics of the Greek and Roman gods, it's no different. Also, since I have just finished the Shadowdale trilogy and started the Avatar trilogy, I was intrigued to get a little more understanding of the various planes and realms the gods inhabit and a hint of the vastness of the "multiverse". This book is written a lot different than the others I have read from the Forgotten Realms, adding to its charm (probably why I enjoyed "The Night Parade", too). If you're looking for something a little different, then this book might be for you.

One of Novak and Grubb's best! 7 Sep 1998

My only complaint would be the fact that the plot rests on Lathander being far stupider than is likely. Besides that, this is excellent stuff.

This book gives some useful information about the planes to those who don't want to buy the Planescape products. The characters weren't so good as in the Finder's Stone Trilogy but I still enjoyed this book.I recommend this to those interested in the planes.

If you like Forgotten Realms or Dragonlance, this book will entertain you greatly. No half-ass story here, characters are real and act realistically. You will certainly appreciate the witty characters and their very human actions.
Lost Gods series is worth a read 25 Oct 2013

Tymora’s Luck was another great adventure in the Forgotten Realms series and specifically a Jeff Grub and Kate Novak collaboration and I do enjoy their collaborations. I thoroughly enjoyed the story even if it did become a bit tedious at one stage. The story seemed to lose track of the core, but it did get back on track and it had a good if somewhat predictable ending. The authors were certainly able to work in the odd red herring and surprise. I am looking forward to reading the next instalment.
