There's not many about yet but this is WICKED! This is about as much fun as you can have with a remote control. My brother has got a robaraptor and we had a fight and the robaraptor didn't have a chance! This should be at the top of EVERYONES Christmas list this year. The best thing about it is that you can transform it from a ball in to a vehicle with a button on the controller. It can pretty much drive anywhere and it has a tail that you can use to hit things with! Definately my best birthday present.

I purchased this item for my son for Christmas (2005), who is 7 and half. So far I have not been able to charge to the battery quick enough, the battery has been on charge over night and the first thing in the morning he wants to play with, infact it's all he wants to play with!
I do think that standard price is abit high (£80 in some well known retails), but for the £50 I paid it was well worth it.
So far my son has played with it on concert, grass, sand, mud and snow, apart from it now being very dirty, it is still in perfect working order (IE no bits have fell off).
This item has a tail (for want of a better way to discribe it) in the centre which flicks round quite quick and comes quite keen if it gets you (Keep younger kids well out the way! The controls are very easy to use.
I do have to say that my 5 year old was very scarded of it and still is.

I got one of these for my birthday last week and it's so sweet how it transforms. You just hit the button. I can also crash it and it keeps going and never gets stuck. Way better than any other R/C I have had!

I found out that the Shell Shocker's eyes blink when the machine is not receiving its signal from the remote. In other words, the most likely cause is either the remote is turned off or the remote's battery (9v) is dead. If you try a new battery and the machine's eyes still blink then then its time to take the toy back to the store/mattel. My son hasn't gotten a chance to play with it yet as it is a xmas present but I purchased this thing on ebay and spent the whole day trouble shooting. I was told a new battery was swapped in for the old remote battery. Turns out the "new" battery wasn't so new. There were also some complaints about the 30 min battery life but from what I've researched on RC toys that is pretty good for one this size and speed. Enjoy.
