Book Description

Two-Color Graphics offer a range of bold effects from somber and elegant to edgy and bold. More importantly, they're inexpensive to print, which perhaps explains why two-colour printing is so widely used. Despite its popularity, however, two-colour printing has a stigma of looking cheap compared to four-colour pieces. This book puts that myth to rest by showing how truly dynamic effects can be achieved with simple, inexpensive two-colour printing. Besides its simplicity, it has a style all its own, which can convey sophistication, elegance and integrity. Included is a "colour finder" section designed to show readers a variety of colour combinations for various projects such as logos, packaging, book jackets and posters. Each featured project is shown in thumbnail size in 15 to 20 different two-colour combinations.

This hardback design book really should be on every graphic designers shelf.

The book explores the endless possibilities of 2 colour design, to minimise cost for the client, but achieving maximum visual impact.

From snowboards, packaging, stationery to posters and books, it displays contemporary graphic design as well as creative illustrative styles.

190 pages of large, colourful and artistic creations with minimal text (which only includes the creators, software, stock it was printed on and the pantone colours used.. very useful)

if you want some inspiration to unblock that design humdrum, just buy it.Two-color Graphics: Unlimited Design Solutions
