The most refreshing album I have heard in ages - They don't seem to be big in the UK but the Melbourne based Cat Empire deserve huge success with their blissfully uplifting blend of Cuban rythms - a delightful summery cocktail containing a mood enhancing blend of jazz, a big squirt of good-natured hip-hop, some reggae beats and some hilarious and occasionally moving poetry. A cross between London based Acid Jazz band Galliano and the Beuna Vista Social Club. Guaranteed to clear a bad mood.
