3.0 out of 5 stars Somewhat disappointing 3 Aug 2007
By sal69
Format:Paperback
As other reviewers have mentioned this story covers the immediate period following the marraige of Lizzy & Darcy (as well as some flashbacks to their engagement). I liked the fact that the author captured the passion of their marraige, however the "lovey-dovey ness" was overkill. I found myself desperately hoping they would have a major row or even a disagreement!! While secondary characters were well developed, I felt Lizzy and Darcy lost their personalities, and every time either spoke it was to utter "I love you so much" "no I love you more"

I'm a big fan of Jane Austin, and have read all her works, and also every follow up to P&P. If you like the passion of their marraige, I recommend Linda Berdoll's 2 sequels or if you prefer something closer to Austin's original, pamela aiden's trilogy is good.

I hope the author continues with the planned series, but a little realism, disagreements, arguements and differences of opinions while the Darcy's very different personalities adapt to life together would perhaps balance the OTT "lovey-doveyness", and create a touching "love conquors all" story

1.0 out of 5 stars Pure Trite 4 Sep 2007
By P. Lees
Format:Paperback
I am a fan of Austen fan fiction, esp Abigail Reynolds, who writes beautifully, but this is fanfiction at its worst. Elizabeth's quick wit, has been replaced by a limited of "I love you more, I need you etc etc," and though I have little problem with imaganing Macfadyen or Firth semi naked in their breeches, not even I could use that imagery to help me along here....
thesaurus sex at its worst. I didn't finish, which is MOST unusual for me.

I have been following this story for a long time on her internet site. Sharon Lathan is the best story teller ever. I order my copy and now I got it and read it again, it is still the best story around and its well worth the read. So its Well done Sharon. Buy the book and you will be blown away.

1.0 out of 5 stars Totally boring 3 Sep 2007
Format:Paperback
Sorry to say, but I've abandonned the story 1/3 into it. How much can you go on with Darcy and Elizabeth making love as the only plot in a story?

5.0 out of 5 stars I love and love and love this! 29 Jun 2007
Format:Paperback
I have been following Ms Lathan's continuing saga, of Lizzy and Darcy's story following their marriage, online for over a year and I am delighted

to now be the proud possessor of a copy of the first volume of Two Shall Become One in print.

This P&P sequel is based on the 2005 Pride and Prejudice film starring Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen and tells the tale of Lizzy & Darcy's first months of marriage.

It is a wonderfully romantic tale and a must for all afficionados of the 05 version who were left at the end of the film wanting more!

Highly recommended! Well done Ms Lathan! I look forward to the next volume with eager anticipation!
