I bought this book for my husband who has just started wood turning. He found it interesting and extremely useful. The book is split into two letting you keep the page you are working on open while at the same time looking up useful tips to help with the project. It has some very nice projects which, while are not too difficult, are enough of a challenge to keep a beginner interested and occupied.

VERY GOOD REFERENCE 3 Jun 2011
Format:Spiral-bound|Amazon Verified Purchase
I've been woodturning for about two years so not a beginner but not vastly experienced. the book is split horizontally so the pages in the top and bottom halves can be turned independently. You access one of the projects and the relevant pages in the bottom half for the techniques used are indicated. Good system and it works well.
Also the book is spirally bound so the pages lie flat. VERY useful.
