If you were being unkind, "high-class TV movie" is the way that you'd describe Two For The Money, since I first watched it on television and it was one of those films where you watched a bit more, and a bit more, and in the end I had to record the end because it was on late.
It's sad that the drama outside of the story setup is deliberately kept in the background, making it very hard to care about some of the characters. As well as Wall Street which was mentioned by another reviewer, I also thought of Glengarry Glen Ross when looking at the office scenes of competing sports tipsters.
I enjoyed it and bought it as a present for someone else but it's a shame there wasn't just a little more character development of the supporting cast to complete the picture.
