With little regard for "trendy" foods and fads, Jennifer and Clarissa share excellent, easy to prepare dishes with easy to follow instructions. I live in the colonies (USA)but have a long fascination with British cuisine. The television series introduced me to the Two Fat Ladies. This book is a comprehensive companion to part of the series, their wise and witty observations, easy to follow directions and simply marvelous food.

The "Two Fat Ladies Ride Again" cookery book contains lots of inspiring and delicious recipes. It's an ideal supplement to the TV series, a little less useful on its own as it does not contain many photos. So you sometimes wonder what the dish is supposed to look like once you've followed the instructions. This cookery book is hence a little "old-fashioned", but the recipes are relatively easy to cook.

I bought this book especially because of the chocolate whisky cake recipe. I had made this several years ago when the recipe was published in a newspaper. It received rapturous and lip smacking comments and was a complete success at the fete and at home for many years - till I lost the clipping. I am delighted to find the book is full of excellent recipes that are easy to follow, combine the extravagant and sensible and are highly popular with our family. This truly is a second life for this marvellous book I missed the first time around.
